After last week's 3-3 performance, my record sits at 63-45 (58.33%) for the year. Pretty good.

But the season is far from over. There are still plenty of college bowl games left on the slate, five of which I still have open picks for. And, of course, we still have three straight weeks of NFL playoffs and then the Super Bowl.

But first things first: Week 17. Always tricky for the novice and shark alike. Some teams may be resting starters. Some have everything (like a spot in the post-season) on the line. Some teams need a win and some help. Others are playing for pride while still some have likely "checked out" for the year.

Knowing the situations and what is on the line for each team can be helpful but you don't want to over-analyze. So, for the last week of the 2010 (and 2011) NFL Football Season, I will fore-go any explanation and simply shoot from my hip.
