Through 5 weeks of publishing my picks, my total record is 22-17, with last week being my first losing week at 6-7. But I look to rebound fast and hard this weekend with 8 solid picks for your tasting pleasure.

I recently went to Dover Downs Casino in Delaware to play some table games. I was fortunate to win some money and so I decided to bet $200 of my winnings on a sports bet. In case you haven't heard, Delaware now has legalized, state-run sports betting. The catch: they only offer NFL parlays against the spread.

I was there on Tuesday and was able to fill out an "early bird parlay card." I came up with a five-team parlay. These 5 picks are listed below, along with 3 NCAA football picks for a total of 8 picks for the weekend. Enjoy!

Pick # 1------> Illinois +3 @ Michigan; Saturday November 6, 2010 12:00 pm

Michigan has lost three straight. Illinois has a better coach and is 6-2 AGAINST THE SPREAD this year.

Pick # 2------> Oregon -35.5 vs Washington; Saturday November 6, 2010 3:30 pm

Oregon is clicking on all cylinders right now and with their super-hurry-up offense, they could literally have the line covered by the second quarter. They are 6-2 AGAINST THE SPREAD this year and Oregon is averaging more than 63 points per game at home.

Pick # 3------> TCU -5 @ Utah; Saturday November 6, 2010 3:30 pm

Last year TCU beat Utah 55-28. Both these teams look good on paper and Utah is actually better AGAINST THE SPREAD this year (6-1-1 to 5-4). But these teams have one common opponent: Air Force. Utah just played them last week and won 28-23. With TCU, however, it was never a contest as they won 38-7. No, the "transitive rule" doesn't always mean much but I think TCU -5 is a huge bargain.

Pick # 4------> Arizona Cardinals +8.5 @ Minnesota Vikings; Sunday November 7, 2010 1:00 pm

Minnesota doesn't deserve to be favored by 8 against anyone. When a team this dysfunctional is giving points, I'm taking.

Pick # 5------> Tampa Bay Bucs +8.5 @ Atlanta Falcons; Sunday November 7, 2010 1:00 pm

Even though Atlanta is coming off of a bye week, I remind you that Tampa has won all three of their away games so far this year and Tampa is still playing for respect. This game is close.

Pick # 6------> NY Giants -5.5@ Seattle Seahawks; Sunday November 7, 2010 4:05 pm

NY is coming off of a bye-week, but before their week off, they won four in a row and started to look like a possible NFC powerhouse. the Seahawks are inconsistent at best and are coming off of a 33-3 loss at the Raiders.

Pick # 7------> Green Bay Packers -8.5 vs Dallas Cowboys; Sunday November 7, 2010 8:20 pm

Dallas may have given up and Green Bay has everything to play for. I see Clay Mathews running wild and Green Bay routing Dallas at home.

Pick # 8------> Pittsburgh Steelers -5.5 @ Cincinnati Bengals; Monday November 7, 2010 8:30 pm

Cincinnati seems to be "learning how to lose" as they have lost their last 4. The Steelers just got a wake-up call by losing to the Saints after barely beating Miami. I predict that the Bengals get out-worked and out-coached.
