Free Picks ATS For NFL WEEK 2, 2011 Season Here

Football is back and so are point spreads. This year is promising to be as unpredictable as ever and while most TV and radio sports pundits are really going out on a limb (can you sense my sarcasm?) and picking the Packers to win it all again and the Eagles to thrive after their recent free agency aquisitions, I'll continue to fade the public and hopefully continue my winning ways from last year.

No over analysis, no misleading stats. No "getting sold on the number."

Below are five free picks for your taking (or leaving). I'm taking the points in all but one. Enjoy and good luck!

Pick #1-----> New Orleans Saints +4@ Green Bay Packers. Thursday, September 8, 2011 8:30 pm

Always tough to pick against the defending Super Bowl champs. But that's just it- the Saints have more to prove, especially after getting ousted from the playoffs last year in round 1 against the Seahawks (THE SEAHAWKS??!!).

Pick #2-----> Pittsburgh Steelers +2.5 @ Baltimore Ravens. Sunday, September 11, 2011 1:00 pm

Flacco hasn't looked impressive in the preseason and, frankly, I think we've seen his ceiling. The Ravens are often predictable and the Steelers have consistently been the hump they just can't seem to get over. After getting rid of former Flacco security blankets in Heap and Mason, Baltimore fans will learn that "you can't live on Rice alone."

Pick #3-----> St. Louis Rams +4.5 vs Philadelphia Eagles. Sunday, September 11, 2011 1:00 pm

Don't believe the hype. The Eagles have weapons but games are not won on paper. Rams QB Bradford is one of the smartest in the league and this game will be close. Take the 4 and the hook.

Pick #4-----> Minnesota Vikings +9 @ San Diego Chargers. Sunday, September 11, 2011 4:14 pm

9 points is a lot, especially against a team in the Chargers that is notorious for starting seasons off slowly. The Favre drama is gone from Minnesota and they just might remember that they have one of the best RBs in the NFL on their team.

The Patriots are really, really good. Miami stinks.
